Stowford Manor Farm

Farleigh and District Swimming Club.

Half a mile downstream from Stowford Farm, Farleigh boasts the only river swimming club left in the country. Founded in 1933, it now has over 2000 members. The water is fresh, with a deep area above the weir for lovely swimming. There are toilets and changing rooms available. There is also a large car park with easy access to swimming.

The Club is run by a Committee, chaired by stalwart enthusiast, Mr. Rob Fryer.

All swimmers must take out an annual memberships.  These can be purchased on the swimming club website at www.farleighswimming.co.uk.  Alternatively you can become a member at the river if someone is collecting.  Once you are a member you can go anytime.

For further information on outdoor swimming see the RALSA website.

STRICTLY NO DOGS

This hot spell has been so busy for us at the club.  This tests our abilities to cope with quite a small volunteer basis!  If anyone feels they would like to help in any way to support the club please do not hesitate to give your name and number to a collector or contact us us at the farm and we can pass on messages to our Chairman.  We need more committee members and the AGM date is on your membership cards, it would be great to see you

From 2021 we will be offering only annual memberships  and recommend online membership via the website on www.farleighswimming.co.uk
